Here we’ve got a nice clean break again on an Innocenti GP headset. How I like a nice clean break – and it even came with the part broken.
But what a fiddly job headsets are. They’ve got to one one of the worse designed parts that Lambretta made. Thin and weedy and not very strong, theres so much you can do to improve headsets but really it’s another new casting. And even SIL improved the headsets!
Working with thin cast aluminium can be a nightmare especially, if it’s a bad casting and its rare Innocenti alloy welds perfect.
But it’s done and the customers happy – not quite a days work – just an hour!
