I FIRST DID THIS 1100 TUNES AGO AND STILL RUNNING ….. JUST
It seems nearly every job that comes in is an old MBD tune.
Most are 15 – 20 years old and are still running.
Some come in for an upgrade, rebore or a modern head done. Apart from burnt on carbon after all these years of running most are in excellent condition.
This one was an old MBD 205 stage 3. It came with a crack in the piston but the customer didn’t even know, so a rebore later and a new MB RT piston, a modern head and an upgrade to a stage 5 with a manifold bolted and flowed and off it went back into the wilderness for another 20 years.
I’m so glad I kept notes on all my tunes I’m getting emails each week on…….. ‘I’ve got the MRB tune can you tell me what it is and do you have a piston’?
