BORING REPAIR I KNOW BUT THESE ARE RARE
A damaged Tv175 Series 1 hub – in and out in the day.
It doesn’t look bad and it looked like it had been dropped but actually it was a bad casting and had sunk on the outside and inside and left a crack.
So cleaned up, ground out, welded then fettled the Yorkshire way!
And finally – bead and aqua blasted to finish it off.
I do like a nice simple job, well if the metal wasn’t so crap but its got to be 65 years old.
All in an hours work.
Remember if you haven’t got the tooling and know how you can’t do these jobs, remember that when you give a mate down the pub!
