SOMEONE CAUGHT ME WORKING
Local paparazzi big Chris sneaked some shots of me working away.
Well really it was part of a future article on how good remade forks are, but that’s for another day.
This is our open plan, welding repair section of our big building.
I like space when working! You need space to move things around and lay out the welding torches and earth straps without tripping up on them all the time.
And open plan is easier to move the lengths of metal around and sweep up once the work is done.
And its easier to swing the frame rotisserie around in different positions to get to the welds better, then wheel it into the fettling shop right next to the welding area!
If you noticed our Fettling workshop you know I like neat and tidy!
If the workshops are tidy – then you know the work coming out is tidy!
This areas houses the frame strengthening jig, fork repair jig, frame rotisserie jig, portable table, Mig Set, TIg set, Cutters and grinders and of course various hand tools like lots of hammers and dollies and clamps to shape things!
Without the equipment and knowledge you can’t repair these things very well.
