This is a product everyone with a non standard rubber mounted carb should have.
Carb rubbers do break and do split, there are tricks to help stop it like our ‘Carb Support Brackets’ and basics like tightening the mounting clips correctly and not over tightening them and tightening them with a dry rubber and alloy faces!
And the basics – use a wide mounting clips and not the thin ones that cut straight through.
But even then some mounting clip designs can be a bit rough on the inside and can cut into the rubber the more you take carbs on and off.
So to avoid the internal of the carb clip cutting into the rubber we’ve made these Stainless steel ‘Smooth Rings’ to give a smooth fit all round the rubber smoothing out as the clip is tightened.
These can fit from 20/25mm carbs to 36mm carbs and of course they work on the very common 28/30mm carbs.
They also work with wide and narrow clips and fit in the groove of the carb rubbers.
